POLICE are asking people to look out for discarded whiskey bottles following a robbery from a brewery shop.
Officers have released an image of a bottle of Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey, of which three were stolen from Cartmel Drinkshop and Wine Snug in Unsworths Yard yesterday.
The bottles each sell for around £40.
Detective Sergeant Ben Falvey said: “We are appealing for witnesses and would ask that people in Cartmel and the surrounding areas report any sightings of discarded whiskey bottles or any suspicious activity.
“Have you seen a bottle like this thrown away? Whether it had whiskey still in it or not, we would like to hear from you.”
A 47-year-old man from the Manchester area was today arrested on suspicion of robbery after the alleged incident at the shop.
He is currently in police custody.
Officers would still like to hear from anyone with information. Contact police referencing incident 122 of November 20.
