As the weather turns colder in the South Lakes area, those with respiratory conditions have been urged to contact their GP and arrange a flu jab.

With predictions of sub zero temperatures in the next few days, NHS England North and the British Lung Foundation have warned flu on top of long term health conditions increases your chance of serious health complications and a hospital visit.

"It’s so important that those who are at greatest risk, and those who care for them, get a flu jab," said Dr Penny Woods, Chief Executive of the British Lung Foundation.
