Regarding the proposed zip wire at Honister there is reference to 'creating life-enhancing experiences'. They certainly know how

to market it but I’m not sure it does much to 'develop a love and understanding of the special qualities of the national park'.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach might be a more appropriate site for it.

At least the zip wire is far better at Honister than the one or two that were planned to go across Thirlmere.

Our national park authority has gained World Heritage Status, which guarantees a sizeable increase in tourists and overcrowding could also damage the natural beauty and the existing 'life enhancing experiences'.
