A yellow weather warning for the Ulverston, Furness and west of Cumbria area about strong winds tomorrow (Wednesday) has been issued by the Met Office.
It says a spell of windy weather is expected to affect western parts of the UK from around 9am tomorrow.
It warns residents to expect some delays to public transport and journey times could take longer.
Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely and some local short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
