HEAVY traffic which caused delays for motorists in the Kendal area is now easing.
Long queues built up on the A5284 Windermere Road heading into the town around lunchtime, with queues stretching back to the junction with the A591 leading to delays of at least 10 minutes.
There were also tailbacks on Crook Road heading towards the A591 junction.
However, the problems are now easing with only minor delays now being experienced, though there is stil heavy traffic on Shap Road.
The delays appear to have be caused by volume of traffic.
