FORESTRY equipment including CCTV cameras, and a generator has been stolen from a site in Thirlmere.
The incident occurred overnight between November 22 and 23 at a United Utilities patch at the north end of the Thirlmere reservoir.
Cumbria Police report that suspects removed the gate to the forest to gain access to the site.
A police spokesman said: "A silver trailer, 1,000 litres of diesel, a generator, an assortment of tools and CCTV cameras have been taken."
The quantity of items that were stolen belonged to a forestry company.
Police believe the suspects would have used 4x4 vehicles to carry the equipment out of the area.
