Great North Air Ambulance at Prizet this morning
A PERSON was flown to hospital after being hit by a lorry this morning.
Emergency services were called to the A591 at Prizet, near Kendal, at rush hour.
The road was closed for some time as a Great North Air Ambulance helicopter landed to take the person to Royal Preston Hospital.
There is no update on the person's condition.
Tonight there are reports of traffic tailbacks around Prizet after a three vehicle collision. Vehicles were backed up into Kendal on the A6.
