A POPULAR Lake District mountain pass has re-opened after three months of flood defence road works.
Traffic will once again flow along The Whinlatter Pass (B5292) via Braithwaite from next Friday.
Adrian Jones, Forestry Commission, Recreation and Business Manager, said:
“It’s been a tough time through the autumn and winter so we’re glad to be getting back to normal.
“Many dedicated visitors have continued their support, travelling via the long 40 minute diversion to enjoy walking and cycling, to buying sustainably-grown British Christmas Trees."
