THREE equestrian portraits taken by an Eden woman have earned her a place in a national photographic competition.

Emma Campbell, from Shap, has been shortlisted in a competition called ‘The Founders Cup' organised by The Guild of Photographers to acknowledge Roy Doorbar and Ian Gee who founded the association 30 years ago.

Entrants had to submit three images which were connected or themed in some way. A panel of highly-respected judges have reviewed all the entries and narrowed them down to just 10 finalists.

The overall winner will be announced at an awards night held at a Jacobean mansion in Cheshire in February 2019 where the winner will receive a trophy as well as a printer worth more than £1,000.

Emma has had a successful year having achieved membership to the guild’s ‘Photographers Bar’ for a second consecutive time. It is a distinction awarded to photographers who have successfully had their images assessed by the guild and provided an exceptional level of professional skill and consistency in their work.
