TWO timber holiday lodges could be sited on pasture land in Broughton-in-Furness if planners give their approval.
Applicants Mr and Mrs Hodgson, of Brockbank Ground, hope to supplement their income by diversifying, and to subsidise their small herd of cattle, according to planning documents.
The self-catering, mid-grey wooden lodges would have a "rural" rather than "domestic" appearance, with Lakeland slate roofs and wood-burning stoves.
Plans have been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
