TICKETS are still on sale for a black-tie charity auction night on February 2 to raise money for a new wheelchair for Kendal College student Joshua Hunter.
The football-loving 16-year-old has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and curvature of the spine. Family and friends hope to raise £10,000 for a new lightweight, motorised chair.
MP Tim Farron is to be among the guests at the Burnside Hotel, Bowness. Family friend Simon Folks said many exciting raffle and auction gifts had been donated, and there would be live music from Thieving Magpies.
For tickets, £35, email Emma Folks on ikkleem27@hotmail.co.uk
