An estate agent has appointed a local expert to promote its properties in Cumbria.

Humberts Lake District has appointed Gerry Mahoney as its regional manager.

The company said Gerry had spent over 30 years working in the local holiday rental and property industry.

It is hoped this will allow her to bring more services to its customers beyond sales, including help with lettings. The company also hopes to offer its Humberts Living service in the area, which offers homeowners a property management service including gardening as well as teams offering help with planning issues, removals and utility switching.

Gerry said: ‘My team and I are really excited to be working alongside our existing and new Humberts clients throughout the Lakes and delivering a superb lifestyle and property management service in addition to the usual transactions of buying and selling.

“Supported by our new Base Team Executive Kerry Sherlock and Property Concierge Chris Gough, we are confident that our years of shared knowledge and experience will enable us to provide a much more relevant service focusing very much on the needs of our clients, not only before and during but also beyond the sales process."

Humberts CEO, Matt Spence, said: “We are moving into a new era where customers will enjoy working with their Humberts property consultant. For the most part, the UK market dreads interaction with their estate agent due to historic inefficiency and we are proud that Humberts is changing that.”
