EXCITEMENT is mounting at a Kendal hostelry which may be within a whisker of being named ‘Beard Friendly Pub of the Year.’

The popular Fell Bar on Lowther Street has been shortlisted for the honour, which is run by the Beard Liberation Front, a group best known for organising the well publicised ‘Beard of the Year’ award.

The bar is operated by the Flookburgh based Fell Brewery and since opening its doors in July 2017 has become a firm favourite with drinkers of all ages.

It offers a range of quality beers and regular live music in a relaxing atmosphere.

And the Fell Bar is certainly proving a hit with voters in the Beard Friendly Pub of the Year competition.

Voting is now hotting up as the days slip by to this Sunday, January 13, when the poll closes and the result is announced.
