REGULARS at Kendal's Fell Bar are raising a glass to the pub's success in being named runner up in a poll for a national award.
The Lowther Street hostelry, which opened its doors in 2017, came second in the 'Out of London' category of the 'Beard Friendly Pub of the Year' award in an online poll run by the Beard Liberation Front, a group best known for organising the well publicised ‘Beard of the Year’ award.
"We are very pleased and we'd like to thank everyone who voted for us," said Andrew Carter, of the Flookburgh based Fell Brewery, which runs the bar along with a sister outlet in Penrith.
Mr Carter said credit was due to the commitment of the "very dedicated" staff and he was delighted customers enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the range of quality beers and regular live music which the bar provided.
