WIGAN Warriors Rugby League club chose the Lake District as the place to be for its pre-season training camp this month.
The Super League champions stayed at Windermere Hotel for a couple of nights where they also carried out their training sessions at Windermere Rugby Club.
The defending champs also held their team building exercises at Windermere Yacht Club which included an Escape the Island challenge as well as a well deserved swim in the alke.
As a team they also climbed up Wansfell Pike, taking on three intense physical challenges before reaching the summit.

Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski said that the Lake District provided 'the ideal setting' for pre-season.
“With the start of the season fast approaching, the coaching staff were keen to take the team out of their comfort zones by challenging them in an unfamiliar environment," he said "the Lake District provided the ideal setting for an excellent team-building camp, with various challenges aimed at reinforcing our club values whilst putting players' teamwork and communication skills to the test.
"We were delighted with how the team worked together across the various challenges and I’m sure that the camp will stand us in good stead as we begin our Super League title defence later this month.”
