TWO sets of neighbours are planning changes to their late 18th century homes near Kirkby Lonsdale.
Keith and Jane Francis, of Grade II-listed Beech House, High Biggins, are applying for consent to install new timber mock-sash windows and five heritage-style Velux rooflights; repair original wooden sash windows; and remodel the back garden.
A new heating and hot water system is also planned, to make the property suitable for "modern family life", state the applicants in plans submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
Three heritage-style Veluxes are also proposed for the adjoining Garden Cottage by neighbours Mr and Mrs Philip Shipwith, as well as a new staircase to the attic.
