KIRKBY Lonsdale volunteers received a special visit in their local charity shop from The Princess Royal today.
Princess Anne arrived via helicopter, which landed on the Kirkby Lonsdale rugby pitch, before she made her way to the Save the Children charity shop on Market Street.
The Princess, who has been president of Save The Children since 1970, told the volunteers she was proud of their hard work since the shop opened nearly seven years ago.
