KENDAL Town Council's element of the annual Band D Council Tax is to rise by £2.86 to help fund a number of projects in the town.
These include support for a play area at Hallgarth, a trim trail at Heron Hill, entrance improvements for Nobles Rest park and more directional signage around Kendal Castle.
The council is also increasing funding to its grant programme for local organisations and charities and Kendal in Bloom community projects. Funds have also been made available to help the council reduce its carbon footprint.
