WORLD Interfaith Harmony Week 2019 will be celebrated with a gathering at Kendal Town Hall on Tuesday, February 5.
Everyone is welcome for light refreshments and to hear speakers including Kendal's mayor, Cllr Guy Tirvengadum, chair of South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership; Jacquetta Gomes, the partnership's lead on interfaith; Cumbria police and crime commissioner Peter McCall; Mark Clement of Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service; Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association chair Joe Murray; and Mike Humphreys, chair of South Lakes Interfaith Forum.
The event, from 10am to 11am, will see the launch of the latest edition of the publication "Religion, Belief and Culture in our Community".
