STEAKS and meat joints stolen from the Coop, and youths kicking public toilet doors, were among crimes reported to Appleby Town Council by Cumbria Police at last night's council meeting (Wednesday).
Tyres had also been damaged on a vehicle at Sycamore Close.
In their report to councillors, PCSOs Joel Larmour and Sally Ewbank said police attention was to be increased at the Broad Close car park toilets and at The Butts, where the glass panel of a shelter had been smashed.
An officer had deployed a speed gun at Battlebarrow after complaints about motorists driving too fast, and shopkeepers had been warned that £5 and £10 forged notes were circulating.
