A SOUTH Lakeland man has been sentenced to 30 months imprisonment today after admitting "county line" drug dealing offences.
Mark Grayshon, 18, of Helsington, near Kendal, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court. He was jailed for 30 months.
The court heard he was arrested on December 19 last year on Rydal Road, Kendal, and was found to be in possession of 13 wraps of crack cocaine and five wraps of heroin. These were hidden inside a kinder egg secreted on his person.
DC Tom Pearman, of the South Lakes Intelligence Unit, said: “Grayshon’s sentence today sends a clear message to those considering becoming involved in county line drug dealing; Kendal is not a soft touch, we will catch you, you will go to jail. It is not worth it.
“Targeting those who operate in the South Lakes, intending to selling Class A drugs remains a priority for us and officers’ ongoing hard work shows that Cumbria is an unattractive place for those involved in county line drug dealing.
"I would like to thank all of the officers involved in this case, whose hard work has resulted in this offender being taken off the streets.”
