AN American actor has swapped Hollywood for the Cumbrian fells in order to try his hand at shepherding with one of the county's most well-known farmers.
Nick Offerman, known for his role as Ron Swanson in the American sitcom Parks and Recreation, recently visited the Cumbrian Shepherd and author James Rebanks at his farm in Matterdale.

The pair had been working together on the farm. During his stay, Offerman helped out with the planting of some trees and also learned the ways of a shepherd.
