Appleby in Eden
A QUALITY of life survey has ranked Eden as the fifth best area in the UK to live.
The 2019 Halifax Quality of Life survey puts it behind Orkney, Richmondshire, Rutland and Hambleton based on the happiness of residents, skills, employment levels, health, weather, crime figures and broadband access.
