The report 'Ambulance Waits' (Gazette, January 31) stated that three out of 233 people who had complained about the unacceptable length of time they had to wait had to 'cancel the call as the wait was too long.'
This comment then begs the question: was the call to the Ambulance Service really necessary in the first place?
Perhaps one reason for this delay is partly due to the fact that the ambulance crews are dealing with a great number of similar unnecessary callouts.
