CONSENT to convert a "derelict" stone-built barn in the hamlet of Stainton, near Sedgwick, is being sought.
Plans by applicant Wayne Sanderson feature Velux windows in the pitched slate roof and wood-grain uPVC windows.
The traditional property - opposite High House, at Mill Bridge Lane - has been used for storing roofing materials, according to plans. No evidence of bats, barn owls or nesting birds has been found. The plans are with South Lakeland District Council.
