THE A590 has re-opened both ways from Newby bridge, A592, to Brow Edge Road, Backbarrow, following an earlier accident according to traffic reports.
Reports say the incident had been ongoing since just after 5am on the Westbound carriageway near to The Swan Hotel turn off.
The vehicle was recovered and the road reopened around 7:25am.
Traffic is coping well.
