IN THE United Kingdom we have recently adopted the US practice of naming weather systems.
I find this irritating mostly because we have such temperate weather in UK they are hardly worth identifying.
We could end up with Drizzle-Bill or even Inclement-afternoon-Iris.
In more continental parts or tropical parts there is weather so powerful that each event is worth naming.
To my mind in UK we could call them all either Storm Bob or Storm Dylan. Which might not be very much good for identifying one from another but think of the fun we could all have taking shelter from them.
