A PERSON had to be cut free from their car after a late-night crash in Appleby.
Two fire engines from Penrith and one from Appleby were called to a crash at Battlebarrow, Appleby at 11.49pm on Saturday night.
One casualty, who was medically trapped, was released by the fire service using Holmatro cutting equipment and was left in the hands of paramedics.
The crews were at the scene for just under one hour.
