THIEVES who broke into three works vehicles on the Loftus Hill Car Park in Sedbergh have stolen £5,000 worth of tools.
Police say the break-ins took place between 8pm last Wednesday and 7am on February 14. Among the items stolen were cordless drills, saws and sanders as well as chargers and batteries for the tools.
Police are appealing to any members of the public who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area at the time and urge those with information to contact PC 2627 Bateson on 101 and quote log number 128 of February 14. Alternatively information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers
