Overnight resurfacing works will take place on the M6 southbound at Junction 43 (Carlisle) starting on Monday, February 25 for five nights.
Planned closures are as follows:
* J43 southbound exit slip road closed between 8pm-6am each night, from 8pm on February 25 to 6am on February 27 (two nights). Diversion: head southbound to J42 and then rejoin northbound to return to J43.
* All three lanes will be closed southbound at J43 (within the J43 interchange) between 8pm-6am each night, from 8pm on February 27 to 6am on March 2 (three nights).. Diversion: Traffic will be diverted off at J43 and back on again (an up and over diversion).
During the day time a lane closure is also likely on the main southbound carriageway and there will be a temporary speed limit of 50mph.
It is thought that the works will cause minimum impact or delay to traffic.
