THE Kendal Revellers singing group has thanked everyone who helped raise £503.55 for St Mary’s Hospice, Ulverston, during its Christmas and New Year performances.
The 30 singers entertained with carols, folk and wassail songs at venues in and around Kendal, including the New Union pub, Kendal Rugby Club, Sainsbury’s supermarket and The Globe pub, as well as Beetham Garden Centre and the Derby Arms at Witherslack.
The Revellers originated by singing traditional carols from the Sheffield and Derbyshire area. Their repertoire has now expanded with folk songs about all seasons of the year, said the group’s Judy Malkin.
