GREEN Ginger and Nordland Visual Theatre’s science fiction stage fantasy Intronauts plays the Brewery on Thursday, March 14 (7.30pm).

Using amazing puppetry and visual effects, the show tells the story of healthcare of the future which uses a miniaturised human workforce to enter the body and undertake essential maintenance work.

Propelling audiences into a microscopic world deep into the inner reaches of the human body, the madcap story sheds light on advancing technology and brings us face to face with big syringes and a tiny submarine.

Drawing its inspiration from classic 1950s sci-fi films like Fantastic Voyage, combined with surreal comedy, the Emma Williams-directed production is described as a roller coaster ride of epic proportion.

Devised and performed by Emma Keaveney-Roys, Adam Fuller and Chris Pirie with music by Simon Preston. Box office 01539-725133.
