A DRIVER has been found guilty of driving without due care and attention after he hit a pedestrian on the A590.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard Gordon Holton failed to see a stationary car, swerved to the side and hit a person on the side of the road near Newby Bridge on November 23.
Holton, of Derwent Road, Lancaster, initially denied the offence but was found guilty.
He was fined £800, told to pay £750 costs and an £80 surcharge.
He was also given six points on his licence.
