THE Met Office is warning people travelling later tonight to take extra care on the roads with snow forecast.
Cumbria is already on the edge of the warning area for Storm Freya — and now the national forecaster has issued a further alert for this evening.
They say snow is set to fall tonight until around 2am and have issued a 'yellow warning' .
While the Met Office expects the snow to have largely cleared from lower lying ground by rush hour, they say it could settle on higher roads.
They also warn that some icy patches may also develop later in the night.
