FIVE new affordable homes are being planned for Kendal by social landlord South Lakes Housing.

The three-bedroom dwellings would be built east of Parkside Road, on land where garages were demolished in autumn 2018.

According to planning documents, the houses have been designed with rendered walls, grey concrete roof tiles, uPVC windows and traditional pitched canopies over their front doors.

The Oxenholme to Windermere railway runs to the east of the site, and a high-voltage power line cuts across the south-eastern corner.

Plans have been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
