A SOUTH Lakes church has sent out an invitation to everyone in the area to attend a special event.
New Beginnings Church, which was set up in Kendal in October 2018, will welcome Richard Taylor who is the European director for the church as the guest speaker. He is also the author of the book 'To catch a thief'.
The event is on March 17 from 6pm.
Barry and Karen Hawthorne, who are the pastors, said they were called to start New Beginnings in Kendal.
"Many people have sent emails and letters giving details of how their lives have changed when they encountered the living Jesus through the church," said Barry. "The New Beginnings Church pastors have seen how God has given new beginnings to marriages, families and businesses."
Barry added that many people have come forward to share their stories of being 'set free' from addictions, including alcohol and drugs.
Members of the New Beginnings Church have been meeting in the Kirkland Centre since October 2018.
To mark the church's presence in the community it celebrated the occasion with a special opening service in January 2019.
New Beginnings Church meets every Sunday evening at 6pm.
