A multi-vehicle accident has happened on the M6 Northbound.
There was queueing traffic due to all traffic being temporarily held from Junction 34, A683, Bay Gateway, to Junction 35, A601, Carnforth.
All lanes have re-opened following the accident but there are still severe travel delays.
Update: Lanes 1 and 2 remain closed for @LancsRoadPolice to complete necessary work but traffic is now flowing again using lane 3 #M6 north #J34 to #J35 - Thanks for your patience while we continue to keep the area safe for everyone https://t.co/6tgaQnr8Bb

Two lanes out of three remain closed while Police are at the scene.
The road was closed at around 7.50am.
