A KENDAL woman who was involved in many organisations has died at the age of 76.
Geraldine Watson was born in 1942 at Helme Chase in Kendal.
She lived her formative years in Natland. Both her parents worked at K Shoes, as did she for a time.
Mrs Watson was a foster carer for many years and also worked at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal with the kitchen and house staff.
For several years she was a volunteer with the local Liberal Democrats.
She had a great interest and involvement with folk music, including the Kendal Folk Festival and Kendal Folk Club. She was also interested in antiques and was a regular member at the local wine club.
She was married to Raymond Watson for 56 years. He is a past president of the Cumbria Amateur Swimming Association and life vice-president of the Kendal Amateur Swimming Club. She accompanied him to countless number of swimming events all over the county and further afield and was well known to all the swimmers.
Mrs Watson was a mother to Carol and grandmother to Ellie.
