PLANS to convert Hawes Methodist Church into five holiday flats and cottages are to go back before Yorkshire Dales planners in April.
The national park authority's planning committee wanted to refuse the plans - putting them at odds with the planning officer's advice to approve.
According to procedure, this means the plans will have to be considered afresh next month.
The proposed conversion of the former chapel on Main Street attracted a 52-name petition of support, and eight objection letters.
