AN EXTRA 145 car parking spaces are on the cards on land near Kendal police station and County Hall.
According to plans by Cumbria County Council, increasing the number of pay-and-display spaces will ensure there is enough parking for the council’s day-to-day activities, as well as offering “much-needed public parking”.
Plans lodged with South Lakeland District Council state there are times when the county council needs extra parking, such as for full council meetings.
