BUDDHIST New Year will be celebrated by the Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada) on Saturday, 18 May, at the Unitarian Chapel in Kendal.
All are welcome to join the Vesak celebrations from 2pm to 5pm, to commemorate the birth, enlightenment and passing away of the Buddha. People are welcome to bring vegetarian food and soft drinks to share, as well as flowers, white candles and incense, if they wish. For more, see buddhistgroupofkendal.co.uk
