MORE than 630 exhibits in 85 classes were on display for locals and visitors who turned up for Sedbergh’s Spring Show, on Saturday.
The event was opened by Sedbergh Primary School head teacher Matthew Towe and music entertainment provided by Sedbergh Junior Band.
Avril Hobson won both the Handicrafts and Garments cups and went on to lift the shield for being overall winner of the show.
Other trophy winners were:
Jean Sowerby (Flowers and Plants); Jane Tulloch (Home Produce); Sandra Gold-Wood (Art); Michael Baeron (Photography); Charlotte Gardner (Junior Cup); Joshua Norwood (Children’s Cup); Ciara Holton (Handwriting) Ben Houghton (Lookaround Cup for best entry chosen by Mr Towe); Ben Houghton (Landscape Painting); and Avie Clement (Photograph).
The Cup for Special Effort went to Bethany, Siobhan and Haydon Cousins who all entered several categories as well as all making Victoria sponges.
