OFFICERS investigating an alleged assault near to a play park have made a second arrest.
A 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault yesterday.
Cumbria Police were called shortly before 5pm on Monday following a report of a man in his 20s having been assaulted near to the play park.
Officers arrested a 23-year-old man, from Barrow, in the Kirkland area of Kendal on suspicion of assault.
Both he and the 15-year old have been bailed pending further enquiries.
The victim of the assault was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary with head injuries. He has since been discharged.
Police said there were a number of people in the area at the time and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or the moments leading up to it.
