A NEWLY-opened Kendal store has been targeted by three - one male and two female - shoplifters.

Police say that a number of items, worth around £100, were stolen from shelves at Toyland in the Westmorland Shopping Centre.

The man is described as being white, in his late 30s to early 40s. He is around six foot tall, of skinny build, and was wearing a cap and tracksuit.

One of the women is described as being white, at least five foot, four inches tall, of average build, in her mid-30s, with brown hair in a side bun. She was wearing a green coat.

The second woman is described as white, five foot four inches in height, and is petite in her mid 50s. She had collar length dark brown hair and was wearing a puffa jacket.

It is believed they placed the stolen items in a wheeled shopping bag and a dark canvas shopping bag.
