VICKI Michelle rose to fame as flirty French waitress Yvette Carte-Blanche in the award-winning television comedy series Allo ‘Allo.

She's also been a regular cast member of Emmerdale and Doctors and has starred alongside Ray Winstone and Idris Elba in All In The Game and Hugh Bonneville in Silent Hours. Vicki's also appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, made her West End theatre debut with Dudley Moore in Play It Again Sam and her film credits include The Greek Tycoon with Anthony Quinn. She was awarded an MBE in 2010 for her services to charity. She is patron of two young people’s theatre schools in London and Kent and the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage.

On Friday, April 19, Vicki is back in the theatre spotlight in Hormonal Housewives, sharing the Coronation Hall stage at Ulverston with Top Girls' Josephine Partridge and the show's co-writer Julie Coombe, who wowed audiences with her performance in Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues which lead to creation of Hormonal Housewives with producer Michael Harrison and her co-writing husband, John MacIsaac.

The show is a witty, topical, rude and extremely funny three hander.

Vicki says that her character in the show is "loosely" based on herself: "I would hate to say everything’s true to life in case I get into trouble with my husband," laughs Vicki. "Julie’s done an amazing job of basing each character on each of us as much as possible. For instance my character and I both love a glass of fizz, we adore talking to our female friends and obviously a glass of wine or fizz makes the experience even more enjoyable. I also share some experiences with my character in terms of family so it’s lovely to be able to bring some of myself to the stage."

For the trio of ‘hormonal housewives’ no subject is taboo and no thought too private as the challenges of modern womanhood are sliced, diced and put to rights by the vivacious cast.

Hormonal Housewives’ made its debut in 2012 and toured again 2013. Julie - whose TV acting credits include River City and Take The High Road - says the script has been updated for this year's tour: "John and I have updated the script to reflect the latest developments in communication, social media, going to the gym, and even hair."
