ESTATE agents Matthews Benjamin and Fine & Country have pitched in to safeguard the foreseeable future of the popular Morecambe Golf Club Rosemere Cancer Foundation Celeb-Am Golf Day.
They have signed a five-year, £5,000 contract guaranteeing the charity event will be played until at least 2024.
Matthews Benjamin and Fine & Country are staunch supporters of cancer charity Rosemere's work.
They raised almost £40,000 through their "Charity Begins at Home" scheme by making a donation for every completed house sale.
The estate agents also sponsored a 60-strong team in 2016’s Great North Swim on Windermere to celebrate the life of former founding director David Benjamin, of Ambleside. The father-of-three died of skin cancer in 2015, aged just 53.
Andrew Kneale, company director and member of the Matthews Benjamin and Fine & Country golf team, said: “We are delighted to support this fantastic event and help it raise funds for such a worthy cause that is very close to our hearts.”
This year's charity golf day at Morecambe Golf Club will be on June 3. Teams can enter as a four or as a three with the option of taking a celebrity golfer.
The cost per team is £225 including refreshments and a presentation dinner.
