DUDDON and Furness Mountain Rescue Team is seeking planning consent for a new dedicated base.

The rescuers work from two rented garages in Foxfield village, and they are proposing a dedicated, two-storey, steel-roofed building on farmland beside Foxfield Business Park.

As reported by the Gazette last December, the team has been planning to move for 10 years and has already raised £200,000 of the £600,000 needed to build a new base.
