RETURNING for a 5th year, The Lakeland Festival of Light takes place on Saturday (May 4). The event is a community effort to raise funds for a chosen charity, and this year the LFOL team has chosen the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Dogs. The idea is to create mountain art by lining the spine of a mountain with a procession of people wearing headtorches at night. The entire proceedings are recorded by a gaggle of professional photographers. The event kicks of at the Rawnsley Centre, Keswick (6pm) and the mountain art will again enhance Catbells. Just turn up. You are asked to donate £20 either on the night or go to the link: www.lakelandmountainguides.co.uk/the-lakeland-festival-of-light
