Fire crew called out to Stricklandgate in Kendal
A FIRE crew was called out to Kendal town centre this afternoon.
David Camilleri, store manager of FatFace on Stricklandgate, raised the alarm after smelling smoke - this was found to be coming out of a vent in an alley behind the store.
Acting Crew Member Hall of Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said the smell was just the result of Bootlegger's Bar on Finkle Street starting up its boiler and lighting a coal fire.
