PLANS to turn empty Allithwaite Institute into a four-bedroom house were approved by South Lakeland District Council.
Applicants Dickon and Melanie Knight bought the property from the Diocese of Carlisle after it became redundant, according to planning documents. The former community building later became a children's nursery, which relocated to Cartmel in 2016.
